Android 11 stable update doesn’t support to Pixel phones in India- Here’s why?

Google released the Android latest update version 11 to all pixel smartphones globally but fans around in India might bit sad, the Android 11 update doesn’t support to Pixel phones due to carrier lock network limitations.

Google’s latest offering Android 11 update support US, UK and all countries where Pixel smartphones are launched but missing Pixel 4 series last year, India pixels 2 and 3 users are unable to enjoy stable update in India.

On Google OTA images page, where the download links have been made available clearly mentioned in notes, build is available for all carriers expect IN ( India ). The Indian Pixel units are currently running on August security patch.

It still unclear why the update hasn’t come to Indian pixels. Some reports suggests that this might be restrictions might be due to carrier testing as India lacks a carrier model like US’s.

We need to wait for Pixel 4a mid-range offering from Google pricing and actual sale on Flipkart might be near in coming days or weeks. Google already confirmed during Pixel 4a will be available in the month of October in India at affordable pricing.

Forwent, Current situation has been frustrated the Indian Pixel users. Hopefully, Google might works on this thing to sorts out as soon possible right before the Pixel 4a pricing and sale will announced.
