Bharti Airtel is the second largest telecom company in the India announced its renewed contract partnership with Swedish telecom gear maker Ericsson on pan-India bases deal to manage its whole 2G goes to 4G network operations over the cloud.
The history was signed contract in late 2016 to cover Airtel’s 2G, 3G and 4G Late networks across all 22 circles across the country. The renewed three year deal will launch the gear vendor’s “Operation Engine” during this year.
Ericsson will deploy the Airtel automation , machine learning and artificial intelligence ( AI ) technologies to enhance Airtel’s mobile network performance and customer experience in India.
The deal comes at the a time when Indian government declared warning not to use any Chinese telecom gear in the network from Huawei and ZTE in previous month.
When both companies are involved in advanced talks to extend their partnership to enhanced on 4G network deployment and modernization report by ET Telecom.
A former person of Ericsson told that there will be government agencies that are looking to build a cloud. They could work with us. We have advanced proof of concepts ( PoCs) with telecom operations in India.
With the cutting edge of technologies and new providers in cloud services, we are seeing some traction. The company has also requests to get a contract from National Informatics Center ( NIC ) for its cloud computing project.Project Meghraj. Under the contract NiC is using VoerAir’s products and technology for testing and benchmarking purposes.
