Google has removed Paytm, an e-commerce payment app

Google has removed the popular India payment services application owned by One91 Communication in Noida, India. Paytm well know payment app provide multiple payment options , offers in recharges, PayTm store to buy products in electronics, furniture or many more etc. Paytm is back-end with Chinese inverters such as biggest players like Alibaba groups and Tencent around 40% share has China.

In statement, Google said that Play Store prohibits online casinos and other unregulated gambling apps that facilitate sports betting in India. Paytm which promotes fantasy sports service within its marquee app repeatedly violated Play Store’s policies.

Paytm’s fantasy sports service Paytm First Games which is also available as a standalone app was also pulled down from the Play Store India. In the past, Several user’s reported paytm’s money fraud and money stuck in payments app without any refund in their bank’s accounts after reported to customer care.

In 2020, Paytm changes app permissions such as required to know your location, calls, content, gallery like sensitive permissions within running in the Android smartphones.

The Google which maintain similar guidelines in the most of others markets, additionally that if an app leads customers to an external website that allow them to participate in paid tournaments to win real money or cash prizes is also violation of its Play Store policies.
