Google cancels IO 2020 due to COVID-19

Google is cancelled its IO 2020 developer conference or at least, the event will still hold on live-Streamed.

Verge reported, the latest sending emails to attenders that notification email explained that its annual developer conference expected to hold on May 12-14 would no longer be held organized in Google hall. Its now re-scheduled to Online event live streaming only.

Google spokesperson issued a statement , Due to concerns around the corona virus named COVID-19 and in accordance with health guidance from the CDC, WHO and other health authorities, we have decided to cancel the physical Google IO event at Shoreline Amphitheater

What do you understand by Google I/O event?

This Google I/O event organized by Google every year to showcase what the company is working on in software advancements, developments, new services and improvements over the existing Google software and Google Assistant and Android version. This will also rumors to launch the mid-range Google Pixel 4A and Android 11 ( R ) Final beta released date.

Google also sent out a message to attendees of Google IO as reported by Droid Life. Google explained that all attendees who paid to attend the developer’s event will be fully refunded by March 13. In addition reports, those who registered for this year’s drawing will need to register again for Google I/O 2021
