India bid for Chess Olympiad in 2026 to start game professional league

All India Chess Federation Association (AICF) has announced that India will bid for the Chess Olympiad in 2026, newly elected president Sanjay Kapoor unveiled plans to commerce a professional league later.

India wants to become world class the Chess destination for the world. We have drawn our detailed plans to achieve this goal said in press conference.

Sanjay Kapoor said that, we have been keen on starting the Indian Chess Professional league with an international favor to popularize the game. The first edition following the franchise-model will be organized before this year.

AGM has also decided to host the Women’s Grand Prix , which is an important part of the world women’s championship cycle, to give a huge boost to women players in the country.

The Super Tournament will see many world class players in action to complete with our Top-level players which will give an opportunity to complete with the best in business at home.
