Indian government in the month of June declared a ban on popular short video app called TikTok in India. Just one month after ban, numbers of TikTok clone apps were found on the Google Play Store by Chinese developer and few Indian startup creating TikTok applications to attract customers and influences on its app platform.
In the month of July, Facebook announced Reels- A short Video app feature launched in India was the fourth country where Reels was available after Brazil, Germany and Frace,
In August, Reels officially launched in over 50 other countries including the US. The Reels tab was gaining so many influences and new video creators on Instagram in India after the TikTok ban. A photo sharing app Instagram now launched a separate tab for Reels only for Indian users as company said in statement.
