Japanese biggest telecom operator Rakuten on today launched its first 5G-compatible smartphone in Japan at priced 69,800 yen as Rakuten BIG. This smartphone is exclusively launched in Japan from the Japanese telecom operator step up in China for its 5G network.
The Rakuten BIG smartphone comes with a 6.9-inch OLED Full bezel less view features 32MP selfie camera under the display. The smartphone has AI-enabled quad camera setup at the back with 64MP as primary / wide-angel lens, an 8MP as ultra-wide angel lens and other sensors are just 2MP and 2MP for macro and depth field of view.

This smartphone will be available in three colours – Black, White and Crimson Red. The company plans to sell the Crimson Red model in the late November. This will create major competition with other Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Redmi, OPPO, Vivo , Samsung and OnePlus Nord in the mid-range segment.
