Microsoft has promised three-year Android update for Surface Duo

The Microsoft unveiled new Surface duo an Android tablet based on Android 10 operating system. Microsoft has now confirmed that Surface Duo will be supported by the operating system and security updates within three years.

It’s just like Google owned Pixel device promised a three-year operating system reported by the Google update policies meanwhile Samsung also announced three year updates for its Android flagships starting Samsung Galaxy S10 include all future models.

The Surface Duo with a 5.6-inch AMOLED screen with 1800 x 1350 resolution and it expand to 8.1-inches . Microsoft offers 360-degree a glass body and it has also support for surface Pen.

The Microsoft Surface Duo come with last year Snapdragon 855 SoC with 6 GB , 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB , 256 GB storages. The currently Surface Duo costs $1399 in the US for 8 GB RAM + 128 GB and 8 GB + 256 GB costs $1,499.

It will available in the US starting September 10 at a media briefing ahead of the Surface Duo announcement. The Surface Duo folds closed like a book. Unlike devices such as Samsung Electronics CO Ltd’s Galaxy Fold 2 that used special flexible glass.
