PM Modi to launch India 5G services on 15 August

Prime Minister Narendra Modi may launch the Indian first 5G services commercially on 15 August.

According to a Hindu Business line publication, A government official who knows about the development of 5G in India told us, “The 5G services will available all around India on the next year 2020 and the PM Modi may launch its officially on August 15.

Department of India (DoT) issued a statement, Telecom companies will provide a trusted protocol portal in which they can check the telecom network equipment security status and vendor address.

The government made it necessary for all telecom companies in India to use locally made network gear once it will be verified through the NSD ( National Security Director).

As we are aware, India is very strong in software, so many technologies will be dependent on local software companies, They will be the backbone of our future.

Chinese companies like Huawei and ZTE which are two major global companies will not able to do business in India as per rules, Border shared countries restricted in doing business in India.

DoT will work n 5G, MeiTy has to work on devices likes drones, sensors, robotics, and AR /VR. IoT and 5G are made for each other. Reliance Jio and Bharati Airtel confirmed the 5G trials will happen once the government issue the spectrum in India.

Mumbai will become one of the first Pan based city to enjoy 5G trails said in Reliance AGM meeting held in last week. Hyderabad will be second city to enjoy 5G trails with Airtel 5G.

The 5G trail spectrum in 700-megahertz (MHz), 3.2 – 3.6 gigahertz, and 28.5GHz bands to Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea to develop India- specific 5G.
