Smartphones makers say focus on mid-entry level smartphone in India

The Grey market in India say focus on mid-entry level smartphone in the absence of local supplies and high goods and services tax. The bands are currently grabbling with shortage of smartphones due to factory shutdown mostly premium brands Apple, Samsung, OnePlus etc. They are unable to produce premium high end smartphone in their factories and mostly sale on E-commerce websites in India currently shows products out of stock.

The Grey market said the upcoming months, companies will start focusing on mid-entry lever smartphone in good aggressive pricing with promising specifications. The high import duty and increase GST will be less in the mid-entry smartphone in compare able to premium high end smartphone required imported services parts.

In India , The high demand of mid-entry smartphones in among youngster’s and mid- age people’s of India in offline or online sale. Most of the products are made in India but high end phones are made outside. The grey market was around 70% for mid-entry level for this segment.
