Twitter gives a statement over blocking access of IT Minister Ravi Shankar Account over DMCA rule as per the USA section. This gives a huge heat up in between social media war btw Government vs Twitter India.
Twitter said Ravi Shankar Prasad shared a news clip without any permission. As per Ravi Shankar, Twitter didn’t issue any notice regarding this issue unless they are blocked my account for one hour with a warning about they can also block you from Twitter permanently after any of their policies or Rules violations.
India needs to re-think social media. Ravi Shankar also said that social media company allowed to do business and make money in India. US-based Social media such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp companies need to follow the new IT Rules guidelines Act 2021.

Ravi Shankar Prasad said in his statement, calling out the high handiness and arbitrary actions of the microblogging platform, particularly sharing clips of interviews to TV channels and the powerful impact.
As per Zee News, They didn’t complain about any clip over DMCA or neither any other news platform. Twitter did it itself since Twitter didn’t wanna comply with the new IT Rules 2021.
As Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information Technology, I can state that we will be seeking an explanation from @TwitterIndia for the locking of @rsprasad and my accounts as per rules & procedures they follow while operating in India.” Tharoor said.
