WhatsApp will soon let users hide ‘last seen” from strangers

WhatsApp Messenger is working on a new feature that will set you soon hide their “last seen” from the contacts in your list except you want to share with them.

Wabetainfo shared a share on iOS 15 running iPhone 12 shows that in the future update, WhatsApp will let users hide the “last seen”, ‘profile picture” and ‘about” from specific contact seen in the beta update version 2.18.XX is under development.

The new option will be shown in the “My Contacts Expect” which will bring more control in the privacy setting in the stable update might take a week longer.

This feature is still under development and will be rolled out to beta users on Android in the coming days and iOS. We will provide you that more information in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp Messenger will stop running on older iPhone models such as iPhone SE (first generation), iPhone 6s and iPhone 6S Plus from iOS 10 will lose support for WhatsApp’s newest version.

Samsung Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy Trend Lite, Galaxy Trend II, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Xcover 2 from iOS 10 will lose support for WhatsApp’s newest version.

WhatsApp is also testing a new theme based on smartphones wallpaper spotted on the beta version. This feature is yet to make it on the stable update as Android 12 coming out very soon officially later this month.
