Windows 11 receiving new Spotlight & clipboard design feature

Windows 11 receiving the new desktop and clipboard design feature as the first look update the personalization setting in Windows Spotlights for desktop.

Spotlight is integrated into the OS and shows with ads along suggestions Spotlight is used to feature daily updated bing wallpaper, weather information on Windows OS.

Microsoft has adding spotlight pictures as the desktop background with starting the Windows 11 build 22H2 can be customized by going Settings> Personalization > Background.

In Windows 11 Build 22518, A new personalization setting “Spotlight collection” feature is enabled with new pictures from the Spotlight collection. The addition of new pictures for the desktop background and Microsoft also planning to offers fun facts about the pictures directly on the desktop.

Microsoft keep adding bloatware in the Edge browser’s and Windows 11 setting with personalization ads and other’s annoying recommendation those can’t able to disable for the normal users.

How to enable the Spotlight Collection for Desktop, follow these steps:

  • First Windows 11 need to update to Dev Channel (Build 22518 or newer) version.
  • Right-lick on your desktop to select personalization else Open Windows Settings > Personalization.
  • Choose “Background”.
  • Click on the “Personalize your background” dropdown.
  • Select “Spotlight collection”

Microsoft is currently testing with new settings in Windows 11 build 22518 in the Dev Channel are available in the Insider Program.

Microsoft is also working to enable personalization theming options settings for your inputs such as Windows Clipboard and Emoji panel. As you can see in the above picture, the new theme options under the new “Text input” section under Settings > Personalization.
