Xiaomi India officially confirmed the Indian version of MIUI will not pre-install govt banned apps

The Xiaomi reported today on twitter handle that they will launch a new MIUI system in India , but the new system will not pre-install applications that have been banned by the Indian government including Xiaomi’s browser Pro.

Manu Kumar Jain, Head of India said in a tweet that “Xiaomi will fully comply with the India government’s requirements, there will no blocked apps on Xiaomi’s mobile phones and that 100% of the data for Indian user’s will be retained in India.

The India government has banned Xiaomi’s smartphone from using Xiaomi’s browser and the India officials said, “The use of Xiaomi browser may affect the operation of these devices, but also affect access to the network”.

India began banning Chinese apps in June including 59 apps such as TikTok, UC Browser and We Chat. According to media, The another listing 47 applications in the local market and the applications Chinese clones to take off but the public list hasn’t share with any media.
